Plagiarism Policy

Arshaka: Pedagogy and Learning Review upholds a strict policy against plagiarism in all forms. Plagiarism is considered unacceptable for all authors, and the journal enforces the following policy outlining the specific actions (penalties) to be taken when plagiarism is detected through plagiarism detection software during the submission process.

The journal utilizes Turnitin as its primary plagiarism detection tool. Manuscripts submitted for publication must demonstrate a similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used phrases.

If plagiarism is detected:

  • Manuscripts exceeding the allowed similarity threshold will be automatically rejected or returned to the author for revision, depending on the severity of the overlap.
  • In cases of severe or intentional plagiarism, the manuscript will be permanently rejected, and the author may be blacklisted from submitting to the journal in the future.
  • If plagiarism is identified after publication, the article may be retracted and the corresponding author notified, along with their institution if necessary.

Authors are strongly encouraged to check their manuscripts for similarity using plagiarism detection tools before submission. Proper citation and attribution of all sources are mandatory to maintain academic integrity and uphold publication ethics.
